Si cette personne minimise ce qui s\u2019est produit, passez au niveau de direction suivant. Dans le cadre de ces relations, les th\u00e9rapeutes respiratoires doivent agir de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 \u00e9viter toute forme de mauvais traitements, y compris les mauvais traitements d\u2019ordre sexuel. Le th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire a la responsabilit\u00e9 de conna\u00eetre ses obligations juridiques et les normes professionnelles concernant les comportements acceptables. L\u2019ignorance de ces obligations ou normes ne constitue pas une d\u00e9fense acceptable. Les normes professionnelles concernant les relations th\u00e9rapeutiques et professionnelles sont d\u00e9crites dans les normes professionnelles concernant les <strong>limites professionnelles\/relations th\u00e9rapeutiques et professionnelles<\/strong> sont \u00e9nonc\u00e9es dans <span><a href=\"https:\/\/standards.crto.on.ca\/\"><strong>Norme de pratique\u00a012<\/strong><\/a><\/span>. Comme nous en avons discut\u00e9 dans ce document, il y a un d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibre de pouvoir dans la relation entre un th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire et un patient\/client.<\/p>\n<p>Tout contact de nature sexuelle entre un ancien patient\/client et th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire est interdit pendant au moins un an apr\u00e8s la fin de la relation professionnelle. Dans certains cas, il n\u2019est jamais appropri\u00e9 de fr\u00e9quenter un ancien patient (p. ex., si le patient\/client est particuli\u00e8rement vuln\u00e9rable). Lorsqu&rsquo;un patient\/client sort de l&rsquo;h\u00f4pital ou lorsqu&rsquo;il est transf\u00e9r\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on <strong>permanente<\/strong> \u00e0 un autre th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire, la p\u00e9riode d\u2019attente est d\u2019au moins un an avant qu\u2019un th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire et un patient\/client puissent amorcer une relation de nature sexuelle. Une p\u00e9riode d\u2019attente de moins d\u2019un an constitue un mauvais traitement d\u2019ordre sexuel \u00e0 l\u2019endroit d\u2019un patient\/client.<\/p>\n<p>En plus du d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibre de pouvoir entre un th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire et un patient ou client, il existe un d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibre semblable entre un th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire et un \u00e9tudiant en th\u00e9rapie respiratoire (SRT) si le th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire supervise l\u2019\u00e9tudiant de mani\u00e8re directe ou indirecte. En raison du statut et de l\u2019influence du th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire sur l\u2019\u00e9tudiant (qui re\u00e7oit l\u2019enseignement du membre de l\u2019OTRO), un th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire ne doit pas avoir de relations personnelles avec l\u2019\u00e9tudiant en th\u00e9rapie respiratoire.
